Hey Amanda & Uncle Wick here! Ok, I am still a very new grey owner. Wick will ABSOLUTELY NOT go out in the rain!!! I know that there is someone on this forum that is a greyt person who makes and sells coats for various seasons. I would love to purchase one!! Why won't he go outside if it is raining? ?

Why won't he go outside if it is raining? ? Some dogs just don't like getting wet Our Brin refuses to go out in rain. Slight drizzle is okay, but rain? Forget it!! Katzar, on the other hand, wants to go outside and chase the thunder during a storm! The louder the thunder the more he wants to chase it! He just doesn't understand that thunder means lightening and he's not allowed out to play during a storm

I got your email Amanda I'll give you the info tomorrow.. .and send a few example pics. Some dogs do not like the rain. At the kennel, if we have one that is terrified, we don't force them go to out. Eventually, they will go, though. I use raincoats on my four. More for myself, than for them. I like to be able to take the wet coat off and hang it up instead of having the wet dogs on my furniture. Echo is the only one who hates the rain and will forgo potty if I let her.

I think that the dog's _first_ experience with rain has a lot to do with how they react to it consequently. IOW, cold rain, they hate it; summer rain, no problem. Our Moby hated rain and would go out to her run, do her business and come right back. Biggles, on the other hand, would go out in the pouring rain and actually _sit_ there in a downpour grinning up at us watching from the window. I always had to grab him and bring him back into the house.

This is so funny to read. My boy almost senses when it is going to rain and runs and hides. The minute one little rain drop hits his nose he is back in the house and no where to find....
