Anyone else's grey have strange, dependent eating habbits? Diggs has recently become very needy about eating and doesn't like to eat alone, only when someone's in the kitchen with him, and he won't eat when we're out. Also, when's he's decided to leave his food half finished (which is often) he won't go back and eat again unless someone shows him it's there and it's okay to eat again. He'll even stand there and whine until someone takes him to the kitchen and tells him it's okay to eat!
It's quite a problem for us, because I have bunnies running around and can't just let his food be or they'll gobble it up (strange thought eh.. bunnies stealing the greyhound's food??). So as a result, one of us ends up having to hang out in the kitchen while he eats, and he's a slooowww eater, so it's DARN annoying. and usually, the half-eaten bowl has to go up on top of the kitchen cupboards so the buns don't get it.
I personally think he'd do better as a grazer if not for the bunnies, but I haven't figured out a way to have his food available and keep the buns away.. they can get into ANYTHING.
Any ideas, or similar experiences??

I can't be of much help. Atlas has recently gone off his food, and my other three are food hogs. We've trained them to leave his dish alone. He's been eating his food if we refrigerate it and it sops up the water. Fussy boy. LOL Sometimes adding some really tasty stuff (sardines, pumpkin (raw), yogurt).
