To my dear Betty Boo... You were my first greyhound and the absolute joy of my life! You went from being a shy terrified skinny little girl to being such a clown, and the reason that I laughed every day. You made life a wonder all the time and have given me so many greyt memories. I can't thank you enough for choosing me that lovely September afternoon in 2007. You taught me so much about life and unconditional love....and patience lol. I can still see the happy look on your dear little face when we came home and found you laying amongst the entire box of Kleenex that you had turned into confetti. You knew you had been a little stinker, but you also knew that one look at that mischievous face of yours would be enough to leave us laughing and not worrying about the mess. So many good times were because of you and your loving. silly antics. The way you would sneak into bed and steal most of my pillow... how you would lick my face as soon as the alarm went off...how you were always the first one to the door when I got home. I could go on forever about what a great girl you were, but just know this... you will always be in our hearts and minds. Thank you so much for everything Boo...We love you always!! Betty was gone far too soon, another victim of this horrible disease we know as cancer. Hug your hounds all the time and let them know just how much they mean to you. They are never with us long enough

Oh Heather, I agree. They are never with us long enough. So, Betty Boo started it all? What an incredible hound she must have been to bring you into this world of love and commitment to greyhounds.
Many funny antics you've shared of your little clown with the angelic face!!! I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Heather, I'm so very sorry of your loss of Betty. She was your joy and will always be, such a great tribute and take you to your girl! Give all the kennel pups a hug for Boo. Dame cancer, too many pups losing this battle and lost too soon.

Heather, what a beautiful tribute to your sweet Betty Boo. I always knew she had a special place in your heart and I can certainly understand why. I remember not that long ago how you decided to put Boo on a diet and you succeeded with her once again having a waistline. I'm not sure who was more proud of this waistline ... you or Boo. It doesn't matter how many of these awesome hounds you have in one family, each one has its own unique personality and you love that hound for the beautiful soul it is. I know the pain and sadness Betty's passing has left in your heart but she will always be with you in spirit. Hugs to you my dear friend and your family .... Godspeed sweet beautiful Betty Boo.

Oh I am so very sorry. My deepest condolences. I think everyone on this forum can relate to the impact our first greyhound has on our lives...opening a very new and special dimension of love and devotion. We suddenly wonder ..."how did I exist without her (or him)?". And Betty Boo certainly did this and so much more in your life. She set the course of your future, and began the turn of fate that brought you to GRA. I can only imagine how sorely you miss her right now, but do think of all the sweet memories and know that she will always be with you in spirit.
Godspeed dear Betty.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Betty Boo. Your tribute is beautiful and really gives us an in site into your sweet angel. You were so lucky that she chose you that day to spend her years with. It sounds like she was also the lucky one to have a Mum who loves her so much.
Run free Betty!!

Oh, Heather, I am so incredibly sorry. I know Betty was your buddy, kennel helper, and all around entertainer. She also paved the way for your other greys and your work with GRA. She should have been able to help you for much much longer.
Godspeed Betty.
