As mentioned above, it's been a tough week for you guys but I am so happy that you are able to open your hearts and your home to another beautiful girl. You will each be able to help each other discover many new happy things once again. I am certain that Donna is smiling up above with approval, knowing that she was the one that tought you how much love these pups bring to us. All the very best, and looking forward to many more pics of the lovely miss Cora! Martha p.s. I bet working with Heather was a wonderful and warm experience for you.

Cora is super smart... She knows stay and to come when she's called, shes mostly potty trained and she is great on a leash, She would rather lay down when you tell her sit but she knows sit too. She's not terrible with the cats she just wants to play but we keep her on the leash when in the living room she likes the dog beds and lays on them a lot. She's quiet unless she has to go outside. she's gentle when taking cookies. She's still a bit shy but she is a wonderful girl! <3
Anyone have any Ideas as to why they may not have raced her? She didn't have puppies, she is pretty small. Is there a requirement for body size in racing? It explains why she doesn't have a really huge prey drive, that or the people that had her before us did an excellent job of cat training her.

I was just scrolling down this page and saw your post. I'm so happy that you were able to give another pup a home. Absolutely Donna is smiling down on you! Cora has such a sweet face and looks like she's already settling in! Can't wait to meet her on one of the walks!

Congrats on Cora's homecoming She's such a beautiful girl and sounds like she has such a sweet personality. We (myself, Teia, Mac, Dexter) are so happy for your family. My small brindle girl didn't race either - maybe size does have something to do with racing eligibility?

I'm sure you will get many replies to this question but here is my own experience. I have two boys that did not race, one was waaaaay to shy, afraid of his own shadow and the other, which I got as a young pup at 10months, had a defect in his leg and they knew that if they raced him, he would break it. Which goes to show, that it's not like the "bad people out there think. Trainers and breeders do take into consideration each and every dog, it's strengths and weaknesses and would never put a dog in jeapordy in any way. Martha
