Through his own tenacity and from guidance of a holistic vet, Kilo bravely battled 9 months post diagnosis of osteosarcoma in November 2012. Amputation was never an option for us. Over the following months Kilo would slowly lose the use of his left hind quarter but adapted to life on three legs and was still very engaged in life and our daily adventures together.
It was time to fulfill my promise to him to be pain free when he tragically broke the bone in his weakened leg.
My life has been enriched having had you in my life Kilo. Godspeed my darling boy, never to be forgotten. Happier Days: What started out as a normal day, this photo was unknowingly his last picture taken on that fateful day. Heartbreak is inevitable when loving a pet, but never cheat yourself the opportunity of this unconditional love. See you over the rainbow my friend. Love Angel

Kilo is beautiful and obviously very much loved. Im so sorry he had to endure OS and you losing your best friend. They bring so much to your life. I know how hard the last 9 months have been for you. I to lost my angel Troy this past Jan to OS which he battled for 11 months. I bet that time with him brought you even closer together.
Rest in peace sweet Kilo. I hope you meet Troy over the bridge and all those waiting.
It's so true that the heartbreak is enviable but you have all his memories for the rest of your life. I hope you meet again over the rainbow.

I am so sorry to read about the passing of your sweet boy ... he certainly was handsome and from the photos he looks like he might have been a bit of an imp (I think that's an endearing characteristic in a greyhound). It looks like you made his retirement one to be proud of ... as you both shared that unconditional love for each other. I believe that when the time comes, we will meet our Bridge Angels one day, until then, keep sweet Kilo close to your heart and soul.
Godspeed Kilo ....
(I've sent you a PM)

That was a beautiful, heart felt tribute for Kilo. We are so sorry for your loss, we too lost our Auggie to O.S just 6 months ago. Your story brought out the tears for all of us that have had to lose one of our precious greys to such a diplorable disease.
Kilo looked like a very happy boy and he has you to thank. Run free sweet boy.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some solace in the memories you have of all of the wonderful times you had with Kilo.
You gave him a home and all the love he could ever want. There's nothing better than that.

My heart aches for you for having to say good-bye to your best friend, Kilo. He was too young but the years that you had him were the best years of his life, full of love and devotion. May he rest in peace and free from pain. Lots of hugs to you. Gable and Liza are sending you their condolences too.
