I was so happy to see this post! Congratulations on adopting such a beautiful boy! I'm thinking Mr. Max sent him to you to help heal some hearts, and it looks like the healing has begun. I'm so very happy for you all!

Congratulations Heather. Thunder is a very handsome boy. You sure are lucky he's letting you take him home. Can't wait to see the pics on how he's settling in his new forever home.

OMG he's beautiful! I too think that it helps the hurting to open your arms to a new greyhound. I am confident that Thunder will be like a balm to your soul and Mr Max will be smiling down on you both.

Thank you everyone! You're all so wonderful and supportive. I've really valued your support over the past 3 months, first with Mr Max's illness and then with him going to bridge so early in life. It wasn't fair. The outpouring of kindness helped mend our hearts and our new boy is like a ray of sunshine. I'm glad we found each other!!
He's a real foodie and quite the character. We're really enjoying him. He watches me cook from his kitchen pillow (he doesn't know yet how rare that is), he hangs out on his pillow watching TV and points me to his food bin whenever I'm in the area. He thought on his second night he should sleep in mommy and daddy's bed since daddy wasn't home yet but that didn't happen ;D The funniest thing is that with all the snow, he's made his way up to the hill where there's pea gravel exposed under one of the spruce trees. That is the now called Thunder Hill as that's where he does his job. LOL

Heather, you and your husband deserve to have a ray of sunshine in your lives. The passing of Mr. Max was so unfair but like a real trooper you continued to post on the forum commenting and admiring all of our hounds. Now it's Thunder's turn .... to help you to continue healing and it truly sounds like he is doing a superb job. Hugs to sweet Thunder ....
