We are home, and so far so good. Froggy picked her bed and is currently down for the count. She is struggling with a cracked pad, and is being true to her name as she hops about. She seems to prefer walking on the grass, so grass she shall have. We took some advice and stopped at a doggy wash to get rid of those pesky fleas. Probably not the highlight of her day, but I don't think she is holding it against us. Oh and it looks like we have a dog that likes to sleep with her eyes open...awesome lol As soon as I can figure out how to attach smaller pics, I will share.

Oh Froggy, we hope the pad on your foot gets better soon. You are all nice and clean and just waiting to get spoiled. Congratulations on your new Forever Home - can't wait to see your pictures.

Congratulations on bringing your Froggy home. I'm sure with all the love and attention she will get, her pad will be healed up soon. Good thinking with the bath, you don't want any other guests as well.
Don't forget the pics, when you have time...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Thank you for letting Froggy come home with you. I hope her pad heals quickly. We also took our two for a bath before bringing them home. We also sprayed the vehicle for a couple of days in case there were still some hitchikers. We will do it a couple more times. We also spray their beds as a precaution one or two may have been missed. It's been just a little over 24hrs, and it has been interesting. For the most part, Froggy just chills out on one of her beds, but we have had some oopsies. Yesterday, no problems with the elevator in our building, today, ha! We are getting better, but she is still not too sure about getting in on the first try. We had a few accidents, but I know that too will get better. Being off today, I left a few times to see how she would cope. She whined and even barked at first, but that was short lived each time. She doesn't like to be alone, but she will settle herself after a while. Now, I opted to try keeping her out and just using the baby gate to keep her out of the main area (and where the pet birds are) and came home after about 15 mins to a chewed door and a sleeping dog. No more baby gate lol. We just know that we have to take it slow, gain her trust, and help her along the way. Just over 24 hrs and we love her loads, chewed door and all.

Congrats on your new addition. She is lovely!! I'm so sure that with a bit of time all the little 'adjustments' will smooth out just fine. So happy that she has found such a loving home!!!

We had read that we should crate him when we first get him, so we did, and he just whined and cried the whole time. If we didn't crate him he was great. And he did not have one accident in our apartment (which might be rare, but we were lucky I guess).

We are one week in, and things are interesting. Froggy's pad wasn't the problem so much, it's her upper leg. We knew she had a gimpy leg, and they may have aggravated it during her spaying. After taking her to our vet, we placed her on some pain meds and it has made a difference. She is walking, and even running at times, on all four legs. She is also being treated for an intestinal virus, and we hope to have her stitches removed this Thursday. The poor girl has been through a lot. To top it off, last Friday someone felt it would be okay to hit her. Don't ask me how that person is still standing today, but I think my warning to the lady was very clear that if she ever attempted to do that again to Froggy I'll be calling the police. I can appreciate that not everyone out there likes dogs, but that doesn't give them the right to hit, especially when Froggy isn't ( and she wasn't) doing a thing! We've mastered elevators, getting into the car is coming along, introductions to "grandma's" cats have been a success, and she will respond to 'come' now. Our only struggles are statuing and some separation anxiety. At the end of the day though, she has brought so much to our world already, and we will do whatever we need to give it all back to her. Next step, obedience school and finding a toy she'll play with
