Tara
How do I PM you? My car is a Ford Escort Station Wagon. The back seat is split so that one part can stay up and still give some extra room.

If we bring some blankets/comforters for GRA could we pass them off to someone who heads out there often? I have about 5 blankets to donate and they have been sitting in the spare room for quite a bit now...I am afraid the temptation of that barn is stronger than me! ;D

Gail, To PM you click on the icon under the sign in name (to the left of the screen) that looks kind of like a letter in an envelope. If you hover your pointer over it will say PM. Then a screen will come up and you type your message then at the bottom it says post message (I think). Then when I log in at the top where it says my name and the number of messages I click on the blue (# of messages) and it will come up like a e-mail in box. Are you still going to the walk on Saturday at the Pinery?

I'm doing turnout Monday after this weekend and can drop them off then.

I have a few questions about the walk on Saturday. Do we muzzle our dogs? Tyson is okay with our other dog (Lab), our neighbour's dog (Vizla), and their daughter's dog (Border Collie who came running into my yard on Monday while I had Ty outside), and my dog trainers 5 dogs (Border, 3 Bull Terriers and a grey) he is also oblivious to other dogs when out for a walk. But I am not sure how he will react to that many dogs at one time. We have only had him a little over a month. Also I am getting a ride with someone who's dogs Ty has never met. Do I muzzle him in the car? And one last question, Do I need to get a harness for walking him or is his martingale collar enough? Okay how lame I sound but I am new at this and we all have to start somewhere. I want this to be an enjoyable experience for Ty, me and everyone else. Thanks for your input and advice. Tara

Tara Hi Tara The dogs will be all excited to meet and sniff each other for the first minute or so, but just keep a firm grip on the leash and everything will be OK, so muzzled while on the walk is not necessary, as they will always be on leash. However it would be a good idea to have ALL the dogs muzzled while in the car, as it is a small enclosed area and there could be an issue of one dog getting in another's space. If you normally walk Tyson with his collar, then the martingale collar will be OK. That is all we have with our 5 See you Sat.

I just did Map Quest and it's 2&1/2 hrs. so we will be there for the 12:30 walk, but I doubt we'll make the 10:00 AM trail.
See everyone on Sat.

Check out the first post... Becca has posted information about the two trails we are going to go for.
I'm pretty sure we're still going to go. I have to see how the weather is and how I'm feeling (it's been a very busy week!).

The weather forecast has been flip-flopping all week, so who knows what tomorrow will bring? We certainly weren't expecting the snow that came in London yesterday. If it does rain it will be miserable to get caught on a trail with no shelter in the rain, so we will all have to keep a close eye on the weather forecast up to tomorrow morning. Raindate will be next Saturday same time, same place. For those of you in London area who want to brave the weather at Springbank Park, if it happens to not be raining at 2:30 p.m. we can meet for the regular monthly walk. So let's hope the weather works out for us as there are a lot of people and pups looking forward to this.

It was a most enjoyable day and thanks to everyone who made Tyson, my daughter and myself feel like we have been part of the group forever. Tyson informed me before he fell sound asleep that he really wanted to go to another one. Thanks again, Tara ;D ;D

It was really nice to see everyone today Willow Greely and myself enjoyed the day so much, fall is my favorite time of year so being able to see the trails was awesome. The pups slept all the way home, they were so incredibly good today, can't wait to bring them out to another event.
