Hi Alana! So glad to hear things have improved! I completely understand IBD (one of my dobies has it) and the other has Irritable Bowel. Not fun and the blood poop, weight loss and everything else that goes along with it is scary stuff. The good news is that he can live perfectly normal with the IBD. Raven was diagnosed about 6 years ago and has been on a vet formula food ever since with only a couple of flair ups.

Hi Alana -
We too are glad to hear that all is going well. I'm sure the surgery was stressful for everyone, especially poor josey.
So how is the new house? is it close to where you guys used to stay?
keep us posted on your pup.

Hi again,
Jenn, I'm so glad to hear your dog has been living well for so long with the same problem as Josey. Since we're new to this (I've always had labs before, and they could eat ANYTHING), we're always watching for flare-ups and wondering how things are going to work out.
And Lisa, the new house is great! Josey loves it! He had a little trouble with the stairs at first and still never goes in the basement, but otherwise I think we got him his dream home complete with an old comfy couch in the front window where he can sleep and occasionally watch the world go by. It's very near where we were before, just on the other side of Mt. Pleasant toward Bayview. We should try to get together for a walk sometime. There's another woman in the neighbourhood with a grey, Arlie, and we're hoping to go for some walks in September.
By the way...have you met Stix? Every time Josey and I are out for a walk someone stops and asks if Josey is Stix. Apparently, he or she is a grey who lives in the area and looks a lot like Josey, but we've never met.

Hi Alana- Happy to hear josey is settling in and loving the new house. Do you have a fenced in yard? What street are you on? sy and I were walking on your side of mt. pleasant about a month ago and a lady stopped us, said there was another grey in the neighbourhood with a whippet companion - i think they live on manor. Haven't met stix yet but have heard about him. I think I met the son of the lady who owns him. Also, this week our neighbor is taking care of a GRA adoptee for his brother who lives in Orilla. We've met Hobbs (light brindle) but haven't played yet. We'll be at hugs4hounds this weekend and we almost always take Sy to Davisville Park. We should get together. Send me a PM and i'll send you my contact info. lisa
