This was posted on GreyTalk by Jey Flick (Batmom on GT), and is reproduced here with her permission. Basic rules for children (and wise adults!):1. Let sleeping dogs lie. (Don't approach the dog when s/he is lying down.) 2. Don't bend over the dog, hug the dog, or kiss the dog on the nose. 3. Don't approach the dog when s/he is eating. 4. Don't approach the dog when s/he is eliminating. 5. Don't approach the dog when s/he is grooming her/himself. 6. If the dog has an object you want, ask an adult to get it back for you. 7. Stay off the dog's bed(s) and out of the dog's crate. 8. Play with your own toys, not the dog's. ____________________________________________________ Living with Kids and Dogs: www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com/____________________________________________________
