Oh no! I am so incredibly sorry. Dory was an extraordinary broodie; you and she were made for each other. Your tribute to her is perfect.
Godspeed Dory.

Jadine…I can't even put into words how sorry I am for your loss of Dory, and how touched I am by your beautiful tribute to the life you shared with her. I remember so well your journey with her…your strong desire for a Greyhound, your excitement when you were finally able to adopt one, your joy at bringing Dory home and the fun of choosing a name for her, and your many posts about your adventures with her over the years. I eagerly waited for your posts, because they were always so full of love and life, and they never ever failed to bring a smile to my face, and fill my heart with warmth. Now, my heart is full of sorrow for you, and the tears are flowing for the pain you must be feeling. Please know that you are not alone. We are all thinking of you.
Sweet Dory, may you find many friends in Rainbow Land. We promise, there are no thunderstorms above the clouds to scare you.

Jadine, I too remember your journey from the very start of you joining the forum: how you longed for Poker Flatt at first, then working hard to convince your parents, then making beautiful jewelry to sell to raise the funds, then coming to your first picnic and finally adopting the beautiful Broodie which you named Dory. The bond you two shared is unmeasurable. I always enjoyed reading your update posts and seeing the photos of Dory living her retirement years to the fullest. You are one of a lucky few of us who have opened our home & hearts to a Broodie and have experienced the greatest love that only a Broodie can give. All greyhounds are special, but these gals are something else & I know you know what I mean. Your tribute was beautiful, I too shed tears, but I commend you for being brave & strong enough to let you lovely Dory go with dignity & peace. She will live forever in your heart. Run free sweet Dory.

I remember Dory at the picnics. She was sweet gentle soul. I'm sorry you had to lose her. I'll bet she is running at the bridge with our other angels telling the others what a great life you gave her. R.I.P. Dory

Jadine I remember your journey with Dory started long before you finally convinced your parents to let you get a greyhound! The months you were on the forum hoping and hoping. And the GRA picnic - and then finally you got to take Dory home. You were an amazing guardian for Dory even before you got her and your tribute to her is just so fitting and absolutely lovely. She was a lucky girl.

What a beautiful eulogy for a beautiful girly. I remember I had read this last month and started to cry so that I could not see to post. I am rectifying that now although re-reading this brought tears to my eyes again. I can tell you had a very special bond and that you loved her and she loved you dearly.

Dear Jadine:
I haven't been on the Forum for a long time, so just read your amazing tribute to your wonderful Dory: I remember how hard you worked to convince your parents that you were responsible enough to care for a dog. - - and you certainly were. You and Dory were so fortunate to have found each other and you gave her a terrific last few years. Broodies deserve the BEST and that's what you gave Dory.
