Owen and Seamus are getting along just fine, they haven't engaged in too much playtime together but that is just starting to change. They are starting to play tug of war, and have starting chasing each other around the yard which is great to see for two reasons: First I love to see Owen run just because he wants to - and secondly, Seamus recently lost his best friend, our beloved lab Oscar died in March after a very short battle with a very aggressive cancer, and he was only 7 years old. Seamus and Oscar were inseparable and played together constantly for the past 5 years and its been very hard on him. When we rescued Seamus 5 years ago he was our 3rd dog - we lost our other setter Sunshine, in December at age 15... then Oscar was gone 3 months later, so it's been pretty rough on everyone, and Seamus has never really been alone. Owen is bringing some silliness back to our household and we love it!
Owen has finally discovered he can climb on furniture... we were wondering how long that would take! Seamus is teaching him all the important stuff like how to jump on to the bed and where the toybox is. I am curious to see if he is interested in swimming... we have a pool, our setters have always loved swimming in it, our labs not so much (surprisingly). Does anyone here have a swimming greyhound?

So every day still brings something new for either Owen or us... man can he jump! He jumped to catch a badly thrown frisbee (too high) and I was shocked at how high he got. He threw a few twists in there and even had a semi-graceful landing. Must be those power thighs!
