Welcome to the board! I hope your tests at the vet go well... it is a great idea to rule out since a LOT of greys come in with some sort of worm or parasite.
If you look on the nutrition section of any greyhound board, it is likely to be FILLED with people with the same problem as you. Remember that on the track your greyhound would have eaten a sort of "stew" with some sort of kibble mixed with raw beef (likely) plus some veggies, supplements, etc. It can be a big transition to go to a dry diet from this, but since most, if not all, racing greys have eaten beef, that may be a good protein source to start with.
People will all recommend what food they feed, but it really depends on the dog. I do know a lot of people swear by the IAMS, which (personally I am not a big fan of) works mostly because of the beet pulp. You can also buy beet pulp from a farm supply store (they feed it to horses), and add a bit to a high quality food as another option. Or...if you want to go the all natural route, definitely try raw. I can tell you I have fed ALL kinds of kibble, and raw works hands down with every dog I have ever fed it to...I've been doing it for 10 + years.

tests came back negative for parasites or worms. But it turns out he has an infection in his intestines. He's on antibiotics and a food that is gentle on the tummy. Surprise surprise, the diarea has stopped. I was told that the Blue Buffalo may have made it worse because it's so high in protein that it was probably to much for the already upset intestines to absorb. i will go with a different food in a week or so. Long story short he's a very happy boy now with lots of energy and love. If I can ever figure out how to post a picture I will.
Thanks again for all the advise
