It is almost springtime (though it may not seem like it today). I am wondering if anyone would like to come to St.Marys and go for a spring walk on the "River Walk"/"Grand Trunk Trail". I was thinking either March 17th or March 24th (depending on weather). The trail (round trip) probably 1-1.5 hrs with a nice picnic area half way for a rest (it could be made shorter if that is too long). If you are interested please let me know. Maybe we can even do a St.Patty's day theme? Just a thought. St.Marys is about 30-40 mins from London (depending on where you live) and about 15 mins from Stratford. I will give more details (where to meet ect.) if we get enough people interested.

Matt, Valerie and I would be interested in a walk in the St. Marys area. However, I am not interested in a St. Patrick's day theme as I do not recognize the day.

That's great, but umm the St.Paddy's day thing was kind of a joke unless you want to dress your dog in green LOL.

we'd be interested for sure! - but right now the kids are in hockey playoffs and we don't know their schedules until closer to the dates - rainy could handle the long walk, but 1.5 hours for sunny would most likely be a bit too much - the fall walk around the river in stratford really knocked him out! - keep posting about dates and times and we'll hopefully be there! -

Wonderful idea! We would love to go. March 24th would be better for us. But we could try and work something out. Will watch for date/time.

If the 24th works for everyone else it is fine by me. I was thinking about 2:00-2:30. So is it agreed March 24th at 2:00. We will meet at the curling arena (From highway 7 take the Perth Road 123 exit. You will pass the St.Marys Cement plant. Curling arena is on right parking lot on left - look for tennis courts) For the older dogs there are lots of benches along the way. Be prepared to do some goodwill ambassador...ing (if that's a word). People stop and ask us questions all the time. Only greys in St. Marys is Ty and one other one, they are a novalty here and a bunch together is bound to turn heads LOL. This should be fun. I'll bring the homemade cookies (for the humans) and water/cookies for doggies. See you all there. Tara

Where is St. Mary's? We're in Mississauga, just wondering if it is within reasonable travelling time. Thanks.

According to Mapquest it is about 1 hr and 52 mins. But we find their driving times are longer than it actually takes. St.Marys is between London and Stratford about 45 mins from Kitchener/Waterloo (if I remember time wise). It would be great if you could make it.

Oh too bad I would have loved to have come but it would end up as a whole day event I don't think we'll be able to make it. Zuzu would love to see some of her own. Hope you all have fun.
