Today, someone thought Teague was a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Weiner Dog Karma, my non grey, has been called a "coyote" by quite a few people, especially if we are out hiking and she is running in the woods.

Milo and I were out walking a few weeks back; the township had a huge community yard sale. Someone stopped me and did a double take. They thought I was walking a deer..lol I'm glad i'm not the only one who has this problem. I've also been asked as to what happened to his other ear. A woman thought he only had one. He was walking with one forward and one glued back in his neutral position at the time.

I mainly get whippet with Leo, kinp in mind Leo comes up to my waist and I'm 5'7" lol. Usually we just get, wow he is beautiful, his markings are so neat!
We did have a little boy ask if he was a cow, that one was funny.

It was especially funny because, maybe if they were black and white I could see it, but we've got a red and a red fawn!

Yesterday whilst walking Michel a lady came quickly over to see my kangaroo. We have so many kangaroos in Canada. Although I really don't mind people asking what she is -- gives me a chance to educate them about greyhounds and what wonderful pets and companions they make.

i get whipet every day. every single day itake her out "oh what a cute whipet" i always answer: "where? is she standing behind my greyhounds?" no one believes me im like whippets are much shorter in height and length and probably 30 pounds lighter than my girls. however we do come across people who think they are dobermans a lot. now i myself have never seen a brindle or blonde dobie but hey to each their own! i havent heard great dane yet but i can ALMOST see it. the floppy ears, the height some danes are SUPER skinny but ya my shin height smooshy nosed bulldog gets boxer all the time so it just goes to show you what people know

I get both deer and kangaroo all the time. This morning when we walked one little kid told the other one he was a german shepherd. Karma is solid red...

Hahahaha! This is hilarious. Chihuahua? Hyena? Deer? Lane was mistaken for a Doberman. The man even inched around his car to tuck himself away from Lane who was heeling perfectly and didn't even pay any mind to the man. Crafty was mistaken, already, for a hairless Border Collie. Um. Nope. Hahahahaha!

well greyhounds are not the most popular dog and it's bad that they pass into mode to buy a dog.I live in a small town in a country 2 hours north montreal. and no one have one like this. one ask me what is that. another told me it's an elegant dog. another told me to feed her because she's so skinny. another one told me she's a ratdog because of the tail. I think we do have much work to do to spread the word of greyhounds and their story. they don't have a shelter in quebec province we have to go to vermont or like me in here. cesar millan brought back the pittbull world and talk about them because they didn't have a good reputation. golden and lab are popular cause they don't cost much and they're good in farm. popularity of bernese mountain are great but there's alot to give away because they lose alot of hair. this is bad. think about someone who see a greyhound for the fist time and they don't know their story wow before the rescue group no one can afford a greyhound ...all hounds they're expensive. cost too much ...means not popular......if we keep spreading the words of grey of person at the time we make a big step for they're retirement. when we got quota my paid 400$ of monopoly money to bring her to the class. he explain everything about racing and retirement and show the muzzle and that stuff. people whas shocked to know what happen to these hounds. when there's breed confusion i think it's a great time to tell people about what happened to greyhounds and fantastic they are. I try to change the world everytime i can with quota. and i know for sure when i lose one of my girls ....binkie the yorkie or mayoche the wire fox terrier that will be a greyhound who will take the place.
