We have put it in the calendar as well. If Leo's sister has not come home (currently in Florida racing) then we will be possibly looking for an addition to the family while we are there

If my dh gets the day off I'll be there. Two greyhounds and a then 7 month old baby might be a little much for me to handle alone. I did already tell him to book it off so I'm really hoping to make it this year.
Cossie88- the picnic is on June 11 at GRA and runs from 11-3. Its a family event with a bbq and different games and raffles. Of course your hound is welcome to come along too. Its always great fun.

I just bumped the details from the 2010 Picnic. I expect the 2011 should be similar.

Since all the greys are on leashes, are people allowed to bring other dogs? I would love to go, but I wouldn't be able to leave Karma home all day alone She pretty much makes herself invisible around greyhounds...they are too much for her! I do know some greys don't like other breeds though...

Redhead: I've seen people bring other breeds to greyhound gatherings and I've seen trouble. What breed is Karma? If she's a fluff, you could bring her and keep her under a tree in a portable kennel, where she'd be cool and comfortable? Cautiously and privately letting her out for bathroom breaks, of course.
