Caroline, I was so sad to see this thread when I got home from work. I remember Hobbes so well from his days at the kennel. We were all so happy to learn that "Ricky" had found his family. I wish you would have had more time but I know he was well loved in that short time.

I am sooo sorry for your loss. I had been reading about Hobbes and his illness for a while and after you responded about Daisy, I thought, "I hope Hobbes is still Ok" and then I read your very sad news. Hobbes was very lucky to have someone who loved and cared for him. When I lost my Jay, someone said to me, "He knew that he was so deeply loved" I am sure the same could be said for Hobbes. Take care. I totaly understand your broken hearts.

We are so sorry.
Hobbes was a special boy and he found his perfect family with you. Hold tight to your memories and know that Hobbes will always have a special place in many hearts.
Run free, sweet boy and Godspeed.

Carolyn, I'm so sorry to hear about Hobbes. He waited so long for you and your husband to come along, and we all know you both loved him very much. Take comfort in knowing that he was meant to find you, and that he spent the best years of his life with the two of you.

Carolyn,
I'm so very sorry for your loss of Hobbes. We've met a few times and I know how much he was loved by you and your family.
We will miss all the lovely adventures of Hobbes and Wally through your pictures.
Take care of Wally and yourself.
Rest in piece Hobbes.

You gave him the best years of his life, I'm sure if he could have, he would have thanked you for sharing all that you gave. Our hearts go out to you and your family.

Oh no! I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. He was such a great dog. He always stood out to me at the grey events we went to. Thanks for giving him such a good home. I especially remember the pictures of Wally and Hobbes in their new pajamas last spring. Poor Wally. What will he do.... Hugs to you all.
