We plan on coming. When do you think you'll do the raffles.
We want to make it out for the band as well and they usually start later in the evening. Don't want to miss out on the raffles.

Hi Troysmom, The silent auction will start right at 7PM and we'll close it around 10PM. We'll do door prizes throughout the evening. We aren't doing a traditional raffle but we have a ton of great stuff for the door prizes and are asking people to donate at the door to get their ticket for that. The band is scheduled to play between 9-midnight. That's awesome that you are going to be able to join us tomorrow. J and I look forward to meeting you. Barb

Barb and Jason, you did an outstanding job - I don't think Michelle wanted to leave lol, but she had school this morning. Give yourselves a big pat on the back! I also love that pic of Jason, what a big beautiful smile! K. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT JOINED US LAST NIGHT AT OPERA BOBS! I am happy to say that the evening was a huge success (and lots of fun too)!!
J and I couldn't have done it without all of the generous donations so thank you again to;
*Awesome Paws/Camp Greyhound *Nothing Added *Happy Houndz *Greyhound Supporters *Lois *House of Earl *Steam Whistle Brewery *Helmutts Pet Supply *Tania Boterman www.tbotart.com/ *Unleashed in the City www.unleashedinthecity.ca *MEC & of course Opera Bobs and the Unknown Culprits
TOGETHER WE RAISED OVER $1,000 FOR GRA. Below are a few photos from the evening.The pumpkin and the artist The band The crowd We have been talking with a friend of ours who owns a bar, Opera Bobs in downtown Toronto about hosting a fundraiser for GRA www.martiniboys.com/Toronto/Opera-Bob%27s-Public-House-nightlife.html He and the co-owners of the bar have been running 'what they like to call 'Goodwill Mondays'. These run once a month (on a Monday!) and basically the bar allows any charitable cause to set up for the evening to raise funds. The bar donates a percentage of the till to the cause and also a $50 gift certifcate to be used in a raffle or as a door prize. We have reserved the date of Monday, October 26th for GRA. We are hoping that we'll be able to get a band out to play to really make a night of it. I am requesting that all of the Toronto grey owners (and any other greyt families) will spread the word to their friends and relatives and come out for a drink on the 26th. Barb and J UPDATE :
I am pleased to say that we have The Unknown Culprits booked to play at our fundraising event on the 26th. www.myspace.com/unknownculprits
The lead singer was actually in the top 24 on Canadian Idol. Check it out. www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080618/ci6_bio_gary_morissette/20080618?s_name=idol2008
We also have lots of greyt prizes for the event. Thanks to everyone including Greyhound Supporters, Happy Houndz, Nothing Added, Camp Greyhound and Genia.
More updates to come!
