Emily and I were out for an evening stroll when a woman stopped to ask if my dog was a Catalouha Leopard Dog. I couldn't remember the specifics of the breed but knew the body types were very different. She has a Catalouha Leopard Dog/Lab cross with brindle markings. Obviously, she's never seen a purebred CLD because they have more in common with Labs than with Greys. Here's a link with several pictures. Nope, not seeing a resemblance. www.picsearch.com/pictures/animals/dog%20breeds/dog%20breeds%20bos-dh/catahoula%20leopard%20dog.html

Some people, when told Devie's REDstorm is a GREYhound - they respond, "But she isn't GREY". My friend has a purebred Scots Collie who is a Blue Merle and she often gets arguments that her dog can't be a Scots Collie as he is the "wrong colour". Often these people are at the dog park - with their dog. GO FIGGER.
