Okay, as most of you know Kawaii isn't a retired racer, she is a mix. I get stopped on the street all the time by people asking me what she is, so I decided to find out!
There is a company and lab in the US that can run DNA tests and they can give you a basic break down of what breeds of dog, your dog might be. (PM me if you want details on it)
I sent them a cheek swab with no information about her, no photos or anything other than my address to send results to and her name. I wanted to see if these tests were reliable and not influenced by seeing her pictures.
Now 4 weeks later I have the DNA results!!
So... to make this fun, I thought I'd make it a bit of a game on the GRA forum.
Whoever guesses what she is (or the closest guess) as determined by a panel of judges (my family & I - heehee) by 6:00 pm on Saturday evening will win.
The prize is that I will donate is the $15.00 worth of Spaghetti Lunch Raffle tickets (that I have already bought but won't be using since I can't attend after all) to the winner so that he or she can increase their chances of winning some really great stuff that Liz has compiled! I hope you don't mind this promotional plug Liz! I figure that will help support a good cause, and we can have a little fun guessing while we are at it.
Are you game?!?! ;D
Okay, here is a bit of a help for you. Kawaii is a mix of only two breeds so don't think you have to come up with huge, complicated combinations. Just 2. Try to think of it in terms of percentages. For example, 51% bulldog & 49% chihuahua (LOL! NOT the answer by the way!)
Here are some photos of her as well to remind you of what she looks like, and so GRA forum newbies can guess too.
As an FYI, she is a little shorter than most retired racers that I have met, her nose is slightly shorter and her coat is a little thicker. She is about 55 lbs. She is very quiet in the house, but does bark a fair amount when playing outside. She is friendly with 99% of people and isn't a shy girl.
Now it is up to you between now and Saturday evening at 6:00pm!
Let the game begin[!!!
