I'm really sorry to hear about Nauti. It sounds like you made his last days the best he could have, but i know it's hard to lose a loved pup..

Jim and Cathy: We are SO sorry to hear about the passing of Nauti. You must feel that you have lost a piece of your heart. They are never replaced, but others can ease the soreness, as life goes on without them. Nauti is pain free now, and having a wonderful time with all the other greys waiting on the other side. We are sorry we missed seeing you on Saturday at the Lambeth parade but we wanted to be there to continue the good work you do for all greys who are out there who need a forever home. I'm very sorry for your loss. We've never met, but from reading your posts and just being on the forum, it's obvious you're special people. He was lucky to have you, as you were to have him. Take care.

Thank you everyone, for your kind words and remembrances. It helps, having such a caring extended greyhound family.
The last thing, that we will remember about Nauti, is, that while we were at the vets waiting to go into the "room", Nauti was wagging his tail at the office staff and everybody who was there with their pets. He was being so brave and being a greyt greyhound ambassador, right to the end.

Oh Cathy and Jim - I'm so sorry. When I last talked to you it sounded like he was doing better. It must be so heartbreaking. Nauti was just so darned adorable - exactly like his brudder Karma in so many ways, especially that little whine when he wanted to do something else. My heart goes out to you.

My thoughts are with your family and hope eventually the sadness of losing Nauti turns to smiles and remembering all the good times. It's so hard to lose something we love so much. Nauti is running fast and free now.
