I'd like to have more than one (if I was even allowed to get a pet). I like the security of a dog on each side of me, and I have two hands! I figure my heart is big enough to have two... or three... or four... Have you heard of that lady who has 7 Newfs? Imagine the HAIR! THE SLOBBER!

Can someone tell me who Bill is? He sounds pretty comical!

We just brought Velvet AKA Primo Gal home 2 weeks ago, and I would already love to have a second. Unfortunately, the hubby thinks that one is enough for now, but I'm working on him! Velvet has been so great, and she even figured out our slippery hard wood stairs yesterday! She's our adorable little roacher who just wants to be loved.

Congrats on being chosen by Gal. Yes two is better than one. Keep work on your DH. Please post pictures of your new pup. We love to see pictures. Have fun.

We brought home Joe, followed by Shadow only a few weeks later. We are already talking about adopting a little girl sometime soon (I almost had Jay convinced to bring home Twist, but someone beat us to her!). When I eventually have the money (like when my kids leave home) I would probably have between 4 and 6 dogs. I am just crazy about greys

while I have a house full of dogs, I must admit, it is so satisfying having a second greyhound. there is something so sweet and calming about them and they bring such pleasure ---sappy I know! and while I'm feeling sappy, a great big, heartfelt thank you to Bill for starting this whole thing! and to the many fabulous, kind hearted volunteers also - a very warm thank you.

Although I admire all of you that have more than one grey, for me one is the perfect fit. Working full time, living in a condo (no fenced yard) and having 4 other pets (2 cats & 2 horses) I just couldn't add a second hound. Chicky fits nicely in the backhatch of my CX-7 and goes to the horse farm with me just about everyday. She lays down very quietly in the barn (tethered to my tack box) while I ride my horses, but I would not be able to take 2 greys to the farm. If I ever win a jackpot lottery & could quit my job...then it would be a different story!
