I was looking into adopting a greyhound, for I've wanted to get a dog for awhile now, and I feel a greyhound would be a great choice. But, my sister and I each have 2 cats, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on how greyhounds and cats tend to interact.
Now, I know that a lot with how animals interact and get along has do with their own personalities, so here's a bit about the cats:
The oldest, Pistol (male), is very laid back and a huge fan of cuddles from almost anyone. He's the only one of these cats who has lived with a dog before, and they didnt like eachother, but they weren't rude to eachother.
The youngest, Eleanor (female), is a troublemaker who is always trying to play with everyone. I believe she'd try to play with a dog, after getting over the confusion of what it is, and Im hoping the the dog would understand, since I know greyhounds are pretty even-tempered.
The last two, siblings, Aussie (male) and Princess Zelda (female), the "middle-children" of this cat family. They the most scared of everything, but they're usually pretty well-tempered. Aussie is the only cat that plays with Eleanor, and he tries to play with Pistol as well, but Pistol just sits there. The Princess, on the otherhand, can be a bit more prissy. She is still iffy on Pistol and Ellie, and if theyre too close for comfort she will hiss, but she won't fight or anything. She is also the jumpiest of the group.
Once again, I know it would more depend on the dog' personality, itself, but I'm just hoping for some insight. Thanks (:
