Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum!
I had adopted a beautiful girl from GRA in February this year, and things are going pretty well, except for one thing:
She does not get along with any other dog. I'm wondering what I can do to ease her. If another dog comes near her, she freezes up - and will snap if they hang around and sniff her for more than a second. She has lunged at a small dog and will run from bigger dogs. I'm ok with her not being buddies with other dogs (I can live with it) but I want her to be able to co-exist with another dog at least (in laws have a small Pomeranian and my parents have an old Chihuahua).
Is there anything I can do? Or is it too late? She is three years old now and I hate having to lock her up if we are going somewhere where there are dogs. (Note, when I had adopted her I knew that she was not good with cats)
Please help!

Hi there! Welcome to the board. We had quite the journey with our Bruce. He's our third hound and first to have problems with other dogs and it was very serious for us. Please read our journey here on the board. I recommend a trainer. gracanada.proboards.com/thread/10617/challenges-breedsGood luck!! She's adorable by the way!!!!

Thank you for your response!! I'm glad things have worked out for you now!! And yes she is very adorable, that picture was after a bath and of course I had a treat in my hand... I had hired a dog trainer for an assessment, and he had recommended walking with the dogs, and honestly I've been nervous to try in case it doesn't go well and they hate eachother. But you've given me hope, sounds like I need to get her some socialization!! Thank you so much!
