So we found out awhile back that Joker loves to eat hard, crunchy plastic things... like Christmas ornaments, caps off spritz bottles, etc. Needless to say that when we noted this very early on, we plastic-proofed. He has lots of pet-safe chew bones, water bottle crunch toys, etc. but he seems to have an affinity for the no-no 'crunchy' stuff. Over Christmas I saw this nice little (fake) fire stove that I thought would add a warm feel to a corner (since we do not have a real fireplace). I didn't take note of the plastic potential (as it really looks like metal), and little did I think that Joker would hone in on the material... but lo and behold, he had a real plastic-fest the other day. Gotta love this special boy =) He has been fine ever since... no odd behavior, no throw-ups, eating-same, business-same, so I guess he chewed the pieces small enough to pass through. When originally mentioned to the vet some time back she agreed that it is amazing what can go in and come out unfazed! Any other pups with the same tendencies? The evidence....no pieces to be found... Dreaming of a cozy (tasty?) fireplace.

What a crazy boy, love the picture of him dreaming Our Lanny also enjoys hard plastic, he won't chew on any toys we give him but plastic kids shovels he can't resist, he also enjoys ripping his beds apart and spreading the stuffing all over the place. If only he would chew the umpteen different dog toys and bones that we have laying around the house. He is just like the kids, buy him a nice toy and he would rather play with the box!

When we brought Finn home socks started disappearing from the house but after a few weeks he stopped eating them. Then just recently, after a three week stay at Camp greyhound, Finn let us know his displeasure of having to leave Camp by doing this...... Luckily not much else. Sorry about your fireplace.

Oh no!!!! Bruce ate the TV converter which is of course hard plastic. Thankfully that's the only plastic he's zeroed in on!

they really are "special", aren't they? lol... the Quints used to chew anything wooden....stairs, tables, bedframes, live tree trunks that were HUGE. They got the odd Gameboy (remember those?) that the kids left lying around at one point. And Merlin and his sister Mirage and very cry fond of Mommy shoes and slippers (there pair of shoes I am currently wearing are Merlin "specials" and chewed at the back....I think of it as my way of bringing him to work with me!)
Recently they discovered Bluerays....with the movies inside....Harold is not impressed. I told him to stop threatening to concrete the entire yard and just let them dig! lol...
