Congratulations on adding Hawkeye to your pack!! Lucky boy!! (Sounds like there may have been just a bit of cajoling going on behind the scenes? LOL!) Love the 'reaction' clip.

Sometimes you just have to persist until the hubby gives in Congrats guys ! I can't wait to meet him ... maybe at the BBQ this weekend?

It's really always his idea... really. It's a good idea to get them all the same colour; men are less able to distinguish one blob from another that way.

ok, that's it, I'm going to have to stick with them all being the same colour in order to sneak another one in the house without him noticing...

Things in Jesse's world are going really well. He's settled in and, every once in a while, we see flashes of the greyhound he's becoming. He's still quite shy of men, but he's approaching Pat for snuggles now. He's stuck to me like glue (I had forgotten about that whole "omg she'sdisappearedintothemagicalbathroomcloset/teleporternevertoreturnagain!.... Oh Hai..." thing.) right now but is gaining a little bit of confidence every day. Mirrors, however, are going to baffle this boy for a very long time. He's getting along with Riggin and I think Holly's quite taken with him. It's funny seeing the three of them tooling around the backyard. I hadn't realized how big Jesse was when he was in the kennel. He makes Holly look like a Whippet. She's only did her body checking thing with him once, then learned (it didn't faze him at all, sort of like us getting hit in the shoulder by a gnat). Every greyhound in the family gets a name, and a list of nicknames. Welcome Jesse/Pretty Boy/Mr.Moose.

YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!! Pat, where do you work, I want to come over there and give you the biggest hug ever! I am over the moon that you guys adopted Hawkeye! Do you know why?Because it means I will be able to see him at get togethers and what could be better than that. So tell me, what do Holly and Riggin think?? Ok, I just took a big breath! sigh... I've been waiting to read who adopted him but my power was out and I was going mad. Mad I tell ya! So many congratulations to you guys, he's gonna be one happy and spoiled boy! Martha Hahaha, I was going to call you but then thought I'd surprise you with a post. So very happy for you! -and oddly enough, not surprised at all!!!!! lol I think Pat knows resistance is futile. btw, so you think he's gonna fit in the canoe…? rofl Oh dear, I think canoeing with this boy is definitely out. I don't think he'd fit! Sometimes you just have to persist until the hubby gives in Congrats guys ! I can't wait to meet him ... maybe at the BBQ this weekend? Now that's an understatement. Turns out not everyone wants 70 lbs of dog in the bed with them resource-guarding the mummy - if you get my drift. haha. Not sure about outings this soon, he's still pretty shy. Omg, he's going to be in a crate at night for a while. We haven't had him weighed yet (vet day today!) but I doubt he's been 70 lbs since he was a puppy. Big boy. We're going to need a bigger bed. He's a bit of a leaner, so as it is now sometimes I feel like I'm being pinned to the wall by a fluffy semi truck.

So glad to hear Mr. Jess is settling in so nicely! Love hearing all the stories, he sounds like such a cuddle-bug I also like the suggestion to add one more pup of the same colour...I could adopt one more brindle without my husband noticing perhaps, lol!
